Technical Coordinator

Reporting to the Technical Manager, The Technical Coordinator is mainly an administrative role working on a wide range of department tasks for 2020 Tribeca Film Festival. The Coordinator will assist with wrangling non-program content, deep dives into spreadsheets/databases, liaise with vendors and projectionist union to coordinate deliveries and staffing information to the booths. Under the supervision of the Technical Manager, training will be provided to work on projects both independently, and alongside the Print Traffic & Content QC teams. Additionally, there will be lots of chances to experience the interdepartmental nature of the festival by interfacing with many other departments.

You are organized and detailed to a fault with a wicked sense of humor and ability to get things done with zero drama.

You should be innately curious, eager to work in a fast-paced environment and be someone who can quickly jump in, figure out process and ensure that workflow runs smoothly and efficiently. You are someone who never utters the phrase “that’s not in my job description.”


  • Keep database up to date and accurate
  • Disseminate reminders and new information
  • Maintain department calendar
  • Schedule and track projectionist hours
  • Confirm vendor deliveries
  • Track and gather screen cards and trailers
  • Assist Technical Director as needed
  • Submit performance evaluations and wrap report. Participate in debriefing meetings.


  • Ability to work efficiently and under deadline pressure
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Good diplomacy and interpersonal communication skills
  • Detail-orientated, organized and motivated
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and Google Drive
  • Prior experience with A/V and film festivals a plus
