Position summary

The PR Partnership Coordinator will be a key member of the Tribeca team working between the partnership and communications departments.  As Tribeca’s business has grown to encompass Live Events, Content and Digital platforms brand partnerships are a critical part of our business. We are looking for a communications professional who understands how to work with brands on strategies around live events and digital content and provide counsel to them on all PR related areas.

The position will be responsible for guiding clients on all elements that impact their communications plans for the Festival. The candidate will need to work with key executives and each brand to ensure alignment with partner brands and execution of initiatives related to publicity at the Festival.

Our ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of project and event production, branded content development and partnerships, an understanding of the digital and tech landscape and client experience.

The role requires a candidate that has extraordinary communication and can create collaborative relationships with the internal leadership team, programming team and creative team to ensure our brand partnership efforts support their goals. You must be highly organized, articulate, have strong written and verbal presentation skills, skilled at pitching media and developing strategic press plans.

Responsibilities & Skills

  • 3-7 years in brand public relations with a focus on event activations with client-facing experience
  • Established media network in entertainment, media, business, brand and buzz press.
  • Day-to-day publicity agency liaison  
  • Proven problem solver, creative, passionate and positive self-starter
  • Experience with live events and an understanding of entertainment and film is a huge plus
  • Compile information on all advance and onsite press needs for each brand partner.
  • Create targeted media lists for events where we aid the partner in securing press. 
  • Publicize all unique activations and actively pitch stories to media.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all partners with publicity and comms questions. 
  • Provide information and resources to journalists as requested. 
  • Coordinate media interviews for executives on behalf of partnerships.
  • Draft releases and pitch materials as assigned. 
  • Cover/staff assigned Festival press events.
